Green Level maths mastery facts are introduced in Year 4. Ideally, most students will master these facts within the year. However, provision is made for them to continue to work on them throughout the following years.

Ordering decimals Order and compare decimals (0.1<0.6)
Decimal conversion Convert 1/2, 1/4, 3/4 to decimals
Time Identify that there are 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour and 24 hours in a day. Convert between analog and digital time.
Temperature Identify the freezing and boiling point of water, and the average body temperature in degrees Celsius.
Compass Identify compass directions N, S, E, W and NS, SE, SW, NW.
Length Convert cm to m (200cm = 2m, 250cm = 21/2m), convert between cm and mm, and record m and cm in decimal notation (0.32m, 2.5m)
Angles Identify acute, obtuse, straight, revolution and reflex angles
Mass Identify the number of grams in 1kg, 1/2kg, 1/4kg and 3/4kg.
Mass conversion Convert between kg and g (1250g = 1kg 250g)
Volume Identify the number of millilitres in 1L, 1/2L, 1/4L and 3/4L.
Volume Conversion Convert between L and mL (1250mL = 1L 250mL)
2D shapes Identify a quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, rhombus, trapezium and kite.
3D objects Sketch a prism, pyramid, cube, sphere, cone and cylinder
