Blue Level maths mastery facts are introduced in Year 5. Ideally, most students will master these facts within the year. However, provision is made for them to continue to work on them throughout the following years.

6 Digit counting Order six-digit numbers and compare them using >, < and =
6 Digit rounding round six-digit numbers to 1000, 100 000 and 1 000 000
Length conversion Convert a given length to kilometres, metres, centimetres or millimetres as needed, to three decimal places. (E.g. 3.75km = 3750m; 15721mm = 15.721m)
Area Calculate the area of squares, rectangles and compound shapes
Time Converts hundreds of minutes to hours and minutes
24 Hour time Convert 12 hour time to 24 hour time
3D objects Identify prisms and pyramids by their base. Identify three-dimensional objects when given top, side and front views
Properties of triangles Identify equilateral, isosceles and scalene triangles and describe their properties. (E.g. "In an isosceles triangle, two sides are equal and the base angles are equal".)
Properties of angles Identify the size of acute, straight, obtuse, right, reflex and revolution angles
